Theft offenses are classified according to the value of property taken:

– theft of property or service more than $400 and less than $1,000
- Grand Theft = Class 4 Felony
– Theft of property or services more than $1,000
- Aggravated Grand Theft = Class 3 Felony
– Theft of property or services greater than $100,000
- Class 4 Felony = Any person who abuses, exposes, tortures, torments, or cruelly punishes a minor in a manner which does not constitute aggravated assault.
- Class 3 Felony = if the victim is less than 7 years of age
- Due to domestic abuse
- Due to stalking
- Due to physical violence
- Willfully, maliciously and repeatedly following or harassing another person.
- Making a credible threat to another person with intent to place that person in fear of death or great bodily injury.
- Willfully, maliciously and repeatedly harassing another person by means of verbal, electronic, digital media and or written communication
- First Offense = Misdemeanor
- Second Offense= Felony
- Simple Assault = Misdemeanor
– Attempt to cause bodily injury to another and has the actual ability to cause injury
– Recklessly causes bodily injury
– Negligently causes bodily injury with a dangerous weapon
– Intentionally casing bodily injury to another which does not result in serious bodily injury
– Attempts by credible threat to put fear of bodily harm with or without the actual ability to harm the other person
– Recklessly causes bodily injury
– Negligently causes bodily injury with a dangerous weapon
– Intentionally casing bodily injury to another which does not result in serious bodily injury
– Attempts by credible threat to put fear of bodily harm with or without the actual ability to harm the other person
- Multiple convictions of simple assault = Felony
- Aggravated Assault = Felony
– Attempt to cause serious bodily injury and/or causes such injury to another, under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life
- Simple Assault against any public officer = Class 6 Felony
- Aggravated Assault against any public officer = Class 2 Felony
- Rape – 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th degree
- Statutory Rape
- Child Pornography
- Sex Offender charges
- When one is under the legal drinking age and is found to have been purchasing, possessing and or consuming alcohol.
- 1st degree = Class 2 Felony
– robbery done by the use of a dangerous weapon or by physical object
- 2nd degree= Class 4 Felony
– robbery accomplished by any other manner
